Hey, I have not been to this blog since I ordered the Nanonote but I have to say its
a lot of fun.


First up reflash the thing. Its a little tricky but theres a really helpful guy that
seems to live in the irc channel and answers any question really thoughtfully

Okay then you've got nano and grep and less and more and some other cool stuff
like an ogg player that works really well etc UPDATE NANO IS FOR BABIES AND I AM NOW IN LOVE WITH vi

Okay so you're a writer and you want to use the nanonote to scribble
ideas, well it has a really nice dictionary stardict on it after you
re flash it and you can dig metaphysically into whichever words you like

Okay, also I'm using this Linux utility grep to operate this rhyming dictionary with fantastic results
and that will be the content of my next post

What you do is press ctrl alt and a function key like f1 f2 etc and it brings up another console so you run nano in one and type you're ideas and have stardict and a rhyming dictionary with grep in another. It's portable paradise. And despite myself I don't mind typing with my thumbs. It's not too inneficient if you are a good qwertyist anyway, Not as good as the trs80 model 100 tho.

Anyway I've been too busy playing with the solidly built and insanely great nanonote
to write about it. Get one, its great, you'lll learn more about bash and linux than you
ever would with a gui computer. Rebuild the microsphere with qi hardware. You've got to build it for yourself. Set yourself freeeeeeeee.... It will only get better and better. And your trs80 model 100 will finally get a well earned rest. FOR NOW . . . . . . . . . .
